Central Valley Women’s Entrepreneurship Center opens Modesto office
The Central Valley Women’s Entrepreneurship Center will open a new satellite office in Modesto, at 1625 I St. A ribbon-cutting ceremony is set for 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. July 30. This new satellite office will extend in-person, free entrepreneurial services to the northern half of the Central Valley.
The expansion into Modesto marks the center’s commitment to offering no-cost services to aspiring entrepreneurs and business owners across the Valley. The office seeks to meet the needs of entrepreneurs in Stanislaus, Merced, Alpine, Calaveras, Mariposa and Tuolumne counties.
“The new office extends Fresno State’s support developing entrepreneurs and businesses that fuel our state’s economy,” said Dr. Scott Moore, dean of the Division of Continuing and Global Education at Fresno State.
The new Modesto office will serve as a resource hub for women entrepreneurs, providing essential support, training, technical assistance and networking opportunities. The center is committed to fostering the growth and success of women-owned businesses throughout the Central Valley.
The Central Valley Women’s Entrepreneur Center, headquartered in Fresno, was launched in the fall 2022 by the Fresno State’s Office of Community and Economic Development, housed in the Division of Continuing and Global Education.
Rosa Nuño, an aspiring entrepreneur in Merced County who has received services from the center in the past said, “I feel excited about this office being so close to me, providing me with more opportunities and good service. I am glad to see the center available for more women like myself, so they can take advantage of the services without time or lack of experience being an obstacle.”
The grand opening will feature a ribbon-cutting ceremony and an opportunity to meet and network with local business leaders and community members. Speakers from CalOSBA, the Small Business Administration (SBA), Fresno State, and other notable organizations will be in attendance to share their insights and support.
